Consistently Make Good Decisions and Eventually Good Things Will Happen
Consistency is the thing that makes change happen — not just in your beauty, but in any area of life. It’s not what you do once or twice, but what you consistently do over time that creates results.
Last February, I started a facial yoga practice called Bigan Yoga, following a woman named Imi on YouTube. In the first video I watched, Imi asked for a week of consistency to see results, which I committed to. The change in my face (and honestly, so many other things) after just one week of 15-minute sessions was significant enough for me to make it a daily habit. Now, 30 weeks later, I can honestly say it’s been life changing.
This is true for nearly everything you commit to, but for now, let’s focus on consistent beauty habits. The sum of your future, most beautiful self can be broken down into a series of good decisions you make today, tomorrow and the next day.
Areas where you can steadily level up your beauty:
- Eat better, healthier foods that change the way you look, feel and move in your body.
- Take better care of your skin, hair and nails.
- Define your style, plan your clothing purchases to build a well-rounded wardrobe and put more time into getting dressed.
- Learn more about makeup application and the best products for your skin and coloring.
- Be intentional about exercise to tighten and tone areas you want to improve.
- Correct posture and sleeping habits — they affect your beauty more than you think.
- Learn more about grace and etiquette and move through the world with poise.
- Eliminate toxic products, chemicals, alcohol, tobacco, drugs, sugar and processed foods.
- Be kinder, more loving, patient and forgiving — with yourself and others.
If I asked you to pick one area that would most help you become a more beautiful woman, which would it be? And what’s the single biggest thing you could do to get better at it?
The answer is anything that moves you forward in that direction — as long as you’re willing to do it consistently.

Let’s take getting dressed as an example (because it’s one of my favorites):
Say you decide that’s where you want to start. You want to define your style, plan your clothing purchases and put more energy into how you get dressed. You decide the best way to do that is to devote 30 minutes a day, at least four times a week, to prepping and planning your wardrobe.
You even outline how to use that time:
- Make sure you have two outfits (that you love and feel comfortable in) picked out and prepped — one for each of the next two days.
- Use the remaining time in those four sessions to clean out unwanted closet items, define your wardrobe goals and create shopping wish lists.
If you do this for a week, you’ll probably be so happy with the results — feeling more put together and confident — that you’ll want to keep going.
And what if you did it for 30 weeks? How much further along do you think you’d be in elevating your wardrobe and overall style?
The value of consistency is like compound interest. It quietly propels you forward toward your goals.
So whether it’s facial yoga, planning your outfits, or simply drinking more water each day, remember this:
The smallest good decisions, when made consistently, build real beauty.
You don’t need to overhaul your entire life overnight — just pick one thing, commit to showing up for it, and let time do what it does best.
Beauty isn’t a fixed destination; it’s a daily choice. So make the next one a good one.

This week’s recommendations…
- Atomic Habits –An Easy and Proven Way to Build Good Habits and Break Bad Ones – This is the number one book that comes to mind if you are interested in leveling up your habits
- IWD Womens Cropped Cardigan Sweater – I’m all about the cardigan sweater this fall and recently ordered two versions and I’m very happy with each… this is the first a little more cropped but really soft, comfortable, and still a nice length just not matronly. I wore it already this weekend over a dress on both Saturday and Sunday.
- Arach&Cloz Women’s Wool Blend Cardigan Sweater– This is the second cardigan sweater option which has a nice v-neck, great shape, comfortable and is a little longer than the IWD sweater. I purchased two different colors.
- Sweater Storage – Speaking of sweaters, these storage bins are super nice as we head into winter if you are looking for a way to organize your closet and/or keep your sweaters in great (dust free) shape. I’m super happy with this purchase.
- Casual Relaxed Wide Leg Pants -Of all the different comfy but cute pants I purchased in building up to last week’s post, these are my absolute favorites. You can dress them up with nice shoes or down with a sweatshirt and I can confidently say they would work great in both ways and it feels like wearing sweats. I really love these pants.
Audible Membership – I can’t say enough good things about having access to reading on the go. There are so many incredible books on Audible and if you are busy but committed to your self development, it can really help you take things to the next level.
